Hull New Theatre

During the Hull City of Culture year, Kinetic Laboratories Ltd were delighted to be part of the £16 million refurbishment of The Hull New Theatre, one of the city’s most prestigious and historic cultural venues. As part of this major redevelopment, Kinetic were selected to design, manufacture, and install all washroom and changing area furniture, delivering bespoke solutions that balance functionality, durability, and contemporary aesthetics.

The theatre’s refurbishment was a significant milestone for Hull, marked by a sell-out first performance from The Royal Ballet Company, reinforcing the venue as a world-class cultural asset for both the city and the wider region. Kinetic’s bespoke furniture installations were carefully designed to withstand the high footfall of a busy theatre, while providing a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for performers, staff, and visitors alike.

Our scope included:
