Meet the Director: Beverley Hird

A mum of 3 and a keen entrepreneur Beverley Hird has been a director/shareholder of Kinetic Laboratories Ltd for the last 10 years and has thoroughly enjoyed building a business to be proud of.

Beverley has been able to provide a fresh and progressive attitude to a business that had previously struggled to be taken seriously in the wider furniture/construction industry.

During her 10 years with Kinetic Laboratories, she has transformed several of the company’s internal processes and has used her knowledge and experience within the financial sector and customer service industry to modernise Kinetic’s approach to its clients and stakeholders.

Rising to the challenge, Beverley has always known that she wanted to be part of creating something outstanding and credits a lot of her success to the support and influence of the people around her:

“I absolutely love reading in my spare time and one of my favourite quotes which I love to use is, ‘If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room!’ I have a real passion for learning and have huge personal drive.

I wanted to create a business that I loved, so that I could show my children that success is built through passion, which I have plenty of! Everyone has their own reasons for wanting to be successful, I want to make sure my success makes a real difference.

I have seen the business grow substantially over the last ten years and a lot of the growth is attributed to the progressive attitude of the team – helping to change the internal processes from procedural and human resource, right through to marketing and advertising.  

There is not one element of the business that I have not analysed to try and come up with a more efficient and effective way of doing things, and this will continue to drive how I want the business to progress.

I can honestly say wholeheartedly that I am proud of the ethics of my company – not only can I guarantee that the product we deliver to our clients is of the highest quality in its range, but that I also have a business that believes in building trust with its employees, suppliers and clients and will continue to promote corporate social responsibility and give back as much as possible to the local and wider community."

As the new financial year starts Beverley is excited to see the business grow over the next year and see how Kinetic’s reputation for being the best quality laboratory furniture manufacturer in the UK continues to drive its growth.
