Meet the Director: Andrew Hird

Andrew Hird has been a director/shareholder of Kinetic Laboratories Ltd for the last 10 years and has enjoyed building a business to be proud of.

As a keen entrepreneur Andrew has fast become a major player in the furniture manufacturing industry, with his extensive knowledge of the industry and all things laboratory furniture he has been able to build lasting alliances with both clients and suppliers.

With aspirations of a sustainable future for himself, his employees and the wider community his primary focus, Andrew has transformed the business’ reputation and has promoted strong relationships between Kinetics interested parties during his 10 years of ownership.

“It's not often individuals get the opportunity to purchase the business they started in from leaving college, so I am extremely proud to have been given the opportunity to make a personal mark on the industry.

It’s not been easy and I don’t take for granted the unpredictability of the industry or the economic climate, but saying that I have enjoyed seeing a business - that could have quite easily have disappeared - do so well and grow its profits, employee numbers and reputation.

I have a group of extremely smart, hard working individuals around me and I can honestly say that without their continued support and progressive attitude I wouldn’t have continued being in the position I am today.”

As the new financial year starts Andrew is most looking forward to seeing the company’s reputation for being the best quality laboratory furniture manufacturer in England continue to fuel its growth.
