Sponsoring local talent

Last year, Kinetic Laboratories were proud to have sponsored local teenager Joshua Jackson with funding that meant he could play baseball with Team GB in Europe, leading to his debut with Great Britain U18’s during the summer of 2019.

Josh has been playing for the Hull Scorpions for 3 years and spent 12 months playing in the High Performance Academy where he was selected to represent the Great Britain team in Sweden. Kinetic's sponsorship payed for his travel, accommodation and monies towards his kit.

Over the upcoming months, Josh will be taking part in more trials and will be training with team GB, in the hope to get to America this summer. Kinetic are proud to continue supporting Josh and give back locally in a bid to make his dreams come true and get him a baseball scholarship in the USA.

Josh is currently competing at the highest level he can in the UK within baseball. The family received funding last summer for Josh to go over to Seattle and spend time at a prestigious training facility that saw him increase his pitching velocity by 7mph. He will only progress in his sport if he is able to be exposed to a similar type of training again this year - the kind of training that isn’t available in the UK.

Josh has a dream of playing in the states and has been in touch with college coaches to look at attending their programme next September, so the training this summer is vital to his progression in the sport and also gaining a scholarship to study and play ball in the US.
